I do a quick review the git repo and found a commit that maybe a
feedback question,

debian/: Multi-Arch support and migrate from /lib to /usr/lib [1]

The commit said,
=== 8< ===
* move libs from /lib to /usr/lib/
  Therefore, the final change is, for
    example: /lib -> /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
=== 8< ===

The question is why not /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu (/lib/$(multiarch) instead ?

Refers to the Debian FHS [2],
=== 8< ===
/lib/

    Libraries essential for the binaries in /bin/ and /sbin/
    (library required to boot or rescue the system)
=== 8< ===

The "xtables-multi" and "ip{,6}tables*" are installed in /sbin.
I'm not quite sure that the initial intention of the iptables maintainer
to install iptables and related libs in /sbin and /lib as they are
required for the boot or rescue the system or not.

If it's not relevant, sorry for the noise.

Best regards,
Neutron Soutmun
