Bug#789796: systemd looping too fast

Hi,
I'm running Jessie with some packages from backports on amd64. I wonder if this
bug is preventing my machine from booting. Booting via systemd does not show
serious error messages, but goes more and more slowly, not making it to a prompt
in any reasonable time. Via sysvinit the machine boots. Using the REISUB
keypresses in a failed systemd boot showed the looping too fast error message.
Could you share the package with the patch applied, or indicate when it might be
available via Jessie? Or I could rebuild the package with the patch myself. Will
the patch apply to the present Jessie version of systemd (215-17+deb8u4)? Or
could an updated patch be issued?
Thank you,
A
