Bug#851211: systemd 232-9 segfaults at boot

Package: systemd
Version: 232-8
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system
Dear Maintainer,
upgrading from systemd 232-8 to systemd 232-9 results in a first
segmentation fault during upgrade, and a subsequent segfault at each
boot when attempting to switch root.
Thus it renders the system unbootable.
Maybe of note, maybe not, I have two LUKS partitions which are on a
RAID-1 and are mounted as my /home folder. But my root partition is
NOT encrypted.
Hereafter is the journald log for the upgrade, which did not get through
completely. I then booted from a USB key, and attempted to finish with
the broken updates. Rebooting again still resulted in a segfault. I
solved it by booting from USB and downgrading systemd.
I am attaching also a core file.
