Yes, and that's why I did set this bug to severity normal and not
higher. 

In the original bug report I just wanted to point out that there might
be a problem beyond the bug in 32-bit kernels, a problem that may make
it worthwhile to add some kind of input validation (in this case just
to deflect a flooding with messages) to systemd/timerfd instead of
waiting for the kernel to fix the RTC related problem.
