Hi Michael, Sorry, I haven't forgotten the issue. I have done a little
more work on it here. One thing I did was switch back to synaptics for
touchpad driver. That did eliminate all the "Libinput: Bug... " spam
in Xorg log, but I'm not sure if this makes the whole issue irrelevant.
I spent some time trying to understand why udev even has "evdev" rules,
and why the reported dimensions are inaccurate in the first place. I know
the machine has some real quirks in the way hardware is reported,
including a kboard backlight issue, there is no kboard backlight.
I'll go back and read your earlier posts, and see what I need to do. I
guess you are recommending that I upgrade systemd and use upstream bug
reporting instead of debian bugtracker?
Sorry to be slow on what you asked me to do, but I might as well try and
do it right. Takes me awhile sometimes, but I will get it done.
Thanks,
bw
