I'm uncertain how to safely detect this. This would need someone testing
the various desktop environments / Xorg / Wayland compositors / display
managers *and* keep that list up to date.
In my configuration it is really affecting CI systems that are all headless.
I guess in your case you can simply automate the restart of logind on
systemd upgrades.
