Hi Michael, thank you for your attention.
I expect autopkgtest-virt-qemu will very soon(?) support arm64/armhf guests
as
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=973038#45

autopkgtest-virt-qemu 
* should be more consistent than autopkgtest-virt-lxc, and
* can work on amd64 (and other arch.) hosts and much more people can
   reproduce the symptom with no difficulty.

So for a while I wait autopkgtest-virt-qemu for arm64/armhf, with
adding 973038 as blocking bug to this.
