Would be great to have a tested patch, i.e. a confirmation that the 
issue is actually fixed by bd7d6cec331a00fed29d00c2498f04e83d70b19c

The change itself looks small enough, so should be suitable for an 
inclusion in a stable update (user tagging accordingly).
