request for advice about udev rule consequences

Hi,

antimicro’ new upstream version wants to install the following
udev rule file:

#Enable user access to keyboard using uinput event generator
SUBSYSTEM=="misc", KERNEL=="uinput", TAG+="uaccess"

What exactly are the consequences of this? Should I warn users,
or is this safe (current console user only), or what?
