No, I'm not part of the release team. But besides you, I have seen no
other DD that was asking for the removal of systemd-resolved (including
nobody in the tech-ctte).
So while I can't officially speak for the vast majority of DD, and while
that "we" was meant as "we the Debian project", I wanted you to realize
that it were to come to a GR, the vast majority of DD would prefer to keep
systemd-resolved (with or without the patch that you are objecting to)
over removing it from the archive.
