[Pkg-sysvinit-devel] Why is the usage message showing up?

Bug #338966 reports of a usage message from checkroot.sh being
displayed during boot.  I just added code in version 2.86.ds1-5 to
report it if the scripts are called without the correct 'start' or
'stop' argument, so the problem might have been present longer without
anyone noticing.

But reading the rc script and the init.d script, I am unable to
understand how this problem can happen.  I suspect a fresh pair of
eyes might have better luck.  Any of you have any idea why this
message appear?
