On Ubuntu Breezy:

$ cat /proc/mounts
[...]
tmpfs /lib/modules/2.6.15-9-686/volatile tmpfs rw 0 0

So Ubuntu mounts a tmpfs under /lib.  This sets a precedent for mounting another
tmpfs under /lib, at /lib/run.  For me that resurrects /lib/run as an option.
I'll renumber them:

0. nothing
1. /run
2. /lib/run
3. /var/run

BTW, I noticed that the membership of the Technical Committee has changed.
