"bg" mount option

The submitter complains that if an NFS mount is specified in fstab with the "bg"
option and "mount" does fork a background process to retry the mount then
mountnfs.sh hangs.
Clearly, then, mountnfs.sh and mount are not handling backgrounding properly. But
my initial inclination is to reply that the "bg" option is not supported by initscripts.
If the submitter has filesystems that are to be done asynchronously then he should
write a separate script to mount them.
What do you think?
