This reminds me.  If sequence numbers are going to disappear then the various bug
reports having to do with enhancing update-rc.d (to allow for changing sequence
numbers and names of scripts) can be tagged 'wontfix'.

I actually looked at update-rc.d hoping that I could come up with a quick patch.
I couldn't.
