on_ac_power is in /usr/bin, where it is useless for the initscripts. We
need access to it early in the boot sequence.
Fixing the initscript to use it in /usr would still leave every user that
has a separate /usr partition without the functionality, so this would be a
suboptimal fix at best. On the other hand, if on_ac_power is supplied under
/bin, it will be available on all systems.
I am cloning this bug and reassigning the cloned bug to powermgmt-base,
requesting that on_ac_power and friends be shipped inside either /bin or
/sbin.
When/if powermgmt-base moves on_ac_power to /bin or /sbin, the initscript
packages should probably be updated accordingly to add versioned
dependencies (or conflicts -- didn't check that yet) with powermgmt-base,
thus I am keeping this bug open and blocked by the one in powermgmt-base.
Thanks for calling our attention to this issue.
