Sure.  Use 'apt-get install valgrind' to install it, and then
'valgrind last' to run last within valgrind.

Even better would be to use a version of the last binary with debug
information, but that require a rebuild of the package and I will not
try to guide you through that. :)

I suspect libsafe and valgrind might get in each others way, but I am
not sure.  I would prefer you to test without libsafe, as I have heard
about fatal problems when using libsafe.
