[Pkg-sysvinit-devel] Bug#399608: /bin/mountpoint: Move /bin/mountpoint from initscripts to debianutils

Package: initscripts
Version: 2.86.ds1-20
Severity: wishlist
File: /bin/mountpoint

I got a strange bug report on my package, which ultimately boiled down
to the fact that the submitter didn't had initscripts installed and
consequently didn't have /bin/mountpoint.

I use mountpoint in the packages config script. Now I could solve this
problem by pre-depending on initscripts, but that seems overkill to me.
Also, although the person who reported this bug turned out
to have a mixed knoppix/debian system, with all these sysvinit
replacements being developed I think initscripts-less systems will
become more common.

udev seems to have the same problem btw...

The best solution seems to me to move mountpoint to debianutils which is
essential=yes, so it is guaranteed to exist and can be safely used in
packages maintainers scripts.
