retitle 345549 nfs: Mounting in background hangs boot process until doing ctrl+c if server is unavailable
reassign 345549 mount
thanks

The mountnfs script (previously in /etc/init.d/, now in
/etc/network/if-up.d/), process /etc/fstab to locate network file
systems, and then do 'mount a -t nfs' for NFS file systems. If that
command hangs, I would suggest there must be something wrong with
mount. I'm reassigning this bug to mount because of this.

I read through the mountnfs script, and was unable to find any other
command that could hang. If I am wrong, please reassign it back to
initscripts.

Friendly,
