Great to hear.  A sligtly modified version of it will be included in
the next upload.  If you want to test the current changes, the svn is
on svn.debian.org, alioth project pkg-sysvinit.

Nope.  Those mount points are mounted after checkroot.sh is done, in
mountall.sh.
