Right.  Then the kernel had been told to power down, and it is quite
likely that your problem was apm/acpi related.  I assume this is true,
and tag it wontfix, as the problem need to be done in the packages
loading kernel modules, and not in sysvinit.  I'm merging it with the
previous bug reported on this isuse.
