I'm not convinced that using NN instead of sNN and kNN make the
documentation clearer.  Perhaps replacing it with StartNN and StopNN
would be better?  I mean like

       update-rc.d [-n] <basename> defaults [NN | StartNN StopNN]

What do you think?
