[Pkg-sysvinit-devel] Bug#414508: initscripts: /tmp/initramfs.debug gets cleaned away before it can be viewed

/tmp/ seem like a bad location for that file.  What about getting
whatever creates it to store it in /lib/init/rw/ instead?  It is
available very early in the boot, just after init is started.
