[Pkg-sysvinit-devel] Bug#394264: base: need stty sane after "boot single"?

All I know is currently in Sid doing
# cd; mkdir park
# mv .bash* .inputrc park/
# reboot #into single user mode too
# ed f
f: No such file or directory
a
mmmmmm\mmmmmm/
aabcde\edcbaa/

Backspace, (the key marked "<-" on the upper right of the keyboard for
me) indeed does its job, but its effects look funny.
It indeed wipes all the characters off the two lines.
I had typed six characters, then hit backspace six times, above.
# stty
speed 38400 baud; line = 0;
kill = ^X;
-brkint ixany -imaxbel
-iexten -echoe -echok echoprt

Indeed, one can reproduce the effects in another window while you read
this mail. Just do "stty echoprt; ed".

Anyway, so maybe those initial three echo settings should be
rethought... or maybe they are indeed wisest, as even printing
terminals can use them...
