[Pkg-sysvinit-devel] [PATCH 0/2] update-rc.d: add from ... to ... interface for maintainer script runlevel link management

This 2 patch series intend to provide an interface for package maintainer
scripts to modify runlevel link scheme for an initscript in a robust, policy
compliant manner.

The first patch makes required internal modifications to update-rc.d, the
second patch introduces the from ... to ... interface. See each patch header
for a description of changes.

There was another patch in this series when I sent it to the list a couple of
months ago to allow update-rc.d to manage links in alternate rc.d location, for
e.g. test suite, however it has been dropped due to attracting focus away from
this change. If it is desired it can be provided.
