HdMH> # Don't shut down drives if we're using RAID.
But I don't use raid.
HdMH> Does it change anything?
I won't be on a machine where I can put my ear next to the disk until
a few days from now, and it is best if I can be excused from most
testing as on my rural mountaintop, I cannot get help if something
breaks. Anyway, anybody else notice it?
HdMH> I have *never* heard of halt screwing up on a reboot, though. Just on
HdMH> shutdown, and that was with the old, broken kernel behaviour. What kernel
HdMH> are you using?
ii linux-image-2.6.24-1- 2.6.24-4 Linux 2.6.24 image on PPro/Celeron/PII/PIII/
Linux jidanni1 2.6.24-1-686 #1 SMP Mon Feb 11 14:37:45 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
Anyway, reboot worked fine, but I just happened to note the disk was
spun down and back up in the process, as my head happened to be near
it that day.
