OK.  What do you think about making upstream sysvinit development a
group project with the maintainers of other distributions?  I'm in
contact with Werner Fink, one of the the SuSe developers maintaining
sysvinit (and insserv, and startpar), and he is interested in joining
forces.  I would also like to get other distros maintainers on board,
to reduce the differences between us.

If you do not have the time to do it, what about letting us do it
instead?  :)

My proposal is to use the alioth project as the upstream repository,
and add the other distros developers as developers on this project.
If that is not OK, we could make a project on sourceforge, berlios or
some other site.
