[Pkg-sysvinit-devel] adding an extra pseudofs to mountkernfs.sh

hey folks,

just a quick feasibility question, before i spend any effort on a patch...

to access the full parallel facilities of a ps3, a special kernel-based
pseudofilesystem "spufs" needs to be mounted on the host system.
there's no extra prerequisites in terms of userland tools besides mount
and an appropriately configured kernel (which the default debian powerpc
kernels are), though there are a couple mount options that might be useful
to have specified via an /etc/default/spufs hook.

currently i see three alternative to getting this set up on the system:

- no packages, just patch the installer to do it and modify /etc/fstab
- patch initscripts to do so in mountkernfs.sh
- provide a seperate "spufs" package, which contains nothing but an
  initscript and /etc/default/spufs.

oh, and i stumbled across #457783, which i'm adding to the cc list.

there's also the issue of what the correct gid/umask for the directory
ought to be, but i'll leave that for a secondary discussion based on
whether you feel it's appropriate or not for mountkernfs.sh to provide
this functionality.

thanks,
	sean
