At log_daemon_msg "Will now activate swapfile swap":
One could have never established a swap area on a partition
and in fstab and the messages will look totally the same as if one did,
straight thru to the "done" message.

(swapon -a -e -v also gives the same null output when no fstab entries
mention swap, so can't be relied on to give you an error message
here.)

Also do you really want to say "swapfile swap" instead of "swap area"?
Does it really have a file name?
