That's racy, however. Think about another program really accessing the
file between the thumbnailer reading the file and setting atime back.

Also, in the meanwhile, relatime has been enable as default mount option
for linux fs. This means that keeping reading a file will not be enough
for making it safe in /tmp, unless the admin has set the norelatime
option.
