[Pkg-sysvinit-devel] Bug#514209: initscripts: doesn't fsck /dev/disk/by-label with spaces

Package: initscripts
Version: 2.86.ds1-61
Severity: important

I had a usb drive /etc/fstab entry that used the /dev/disk/by-label as
follows:

ls -al /dev/disk/by-label/S*

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root  10 2009-02-06 04:39 STORE\x20N\x20GO ->
../../sda1

The drive would mount fine manually, but fsck.vfat claimed that it
couldn't find the device, so it wouldn't mount at boot-up.

I have changed the /etc/fstab to use the /dev/disk/by-id entry, and will
see if that is a work-around for this problem.
