[Pkg-sysvinit-devel] NTP bites dovecot

Hello folks,
Dovecot occasionally dies on system startup:
dovecot: Dovecot v1.0.15 starting up
ntpd[2457]: synchronized to 131.234.137.23, stratum 1
ntpd[2457]: time reset -9.462451 s
ntpd[2457]: kernel time sync status change 0001
dovecot: Time just moved backwards by 9 seconds. This might cause a lot of
problems, so I'll just kill myself now. http://wiki.dovecot.org/TimeMovedBackwards
Arguably, this is just silly, but it does make me wonder what
a better solution is, than to spend months fighting dovecot
upstream.
Dovecot loads at rc2/21 and ntp loads at rc2/23.
I think the best would be to move ntp earlier and use ntp-wait to
actually make the script block.
With dependency-based boot, we'd have to introduce another tag, e.g.
timesync, and dovecot would have to wait for that.
Thoughts?
