What kind of junk moves time backwards on suspend/resume?

And if the operator did it on purpose, well, one should not shoot
himself in the head if one doesn't want to die.  I don't know if there
is anything we could do about it that is not worse than the random
breakage moving time backwards can cause.

That's broken beyond belief if it steps the clock backwards.
