[Pkg-sysvinit-devel] Bug#607269: initscripts: upgrade from lenny to squeeze left system unbootable as checkfs.sh failed to execute

Booting after upgrade from Lenny to today's squeeze failed, as /etc/init.d/checkfs.sh was not executable (permission denied message from /etc/init.d/rc).

Manually rw mounting and doing chmod a+rx on /etc/init.d/checkfs.sh solved the problem.
I noticed a few other non-executable /etc/init.d/*.sh and added the x bit there as well.
