Package: initscripts
Version: 2.88dsf-12
Severity: normal
Hi.
Not sure whether this is really in initscripts, because I guess all init-scripts are affected.
On shutdown, when each service prints its "Stopping somethign" message no newlines seem to be
printed.
So one gets some thing like (with that strange wrapping):
Stopping something......................................... Stopping something..............
........................... Stopping something......................................... Stopp
ing something......................................... Stopping something....................
..................... Stopping something......................................... Stopping so
mething.........................................
Unfortunately bootlogd seems to not record on shutdown.
Cheers,
Chris.
