initscripts suggests no packages.

-- no debconf information

Further tests after completing boot sequence

I run
  /etc/init.d/nfs-common stop

And I could mount successfully

But when I run
  /etc/init.d/portmap stop
Mount stalled

So it seems that portmap should be always running (I thought it was nfs-common)

portmap service is also started after networking due to
dependency based init system, so in mountnfs triggered by networking it
has not started yet

In any case i come to the same conclusion.

start_nfs flag : should be set to yes even when clients mount nfs shares with nolock

To start portmap service before trying mount -a -tnfs
