If it is a kernel panic, then the bug probably has very little to do with the
sysvinit package at all and should probably be reassigned to
linux-image-<flavour> for the best chance of meaningful support.

I've always found it difficult to capture kernel panic information, and have
usually taken a photograph of the monitor as best I can at that point. It may
help if it is clear enough to read the text, it may give someone with a bit
of experience a clue as to what is playing up.
