Note that only purging of packages will remove their /etc/init.d/
scripts, while conflicts will only remove (and not purge) a package.
Thus it do not help to conflict with a package that is no longer
included in Debian.  It need to be manually purged.

But it might help to Breaks on older versions of a package if a new
version is available in squeeze, if this make sure the package is
updated before sysv-rc.

Thus I suspect conflicting is not having any effect, but the breaks
might work.
