I only use Debian packaged kernels from wheezy-backports, jessie, or
sid, so 3.12 is not an option for me.

Yes, these two kernels exhibit exactly the same behavior as the
linux-image-3.11-0.bpo.2-amd64 mentioned above.

I agree. That would be,
ii linux-source-3.11 3.11.8-1~bpo70+1 all Linux kernel source for
version 3.11 with Debian patches
