Hi,

/etc/init.d/skeleton is part of the initscripts debian package
and this ML ist linked on the packages page.
I hope this is the right place to ask. :)

I used the skeleton file for a debian package I have made.
The problem is that the script is called when the package
is removed .
During the uninstall process of my package the init script
(based on the skeleton) is called to stop the daemon.
But the init scripts exit code is 1 if the daemon wasn't
started (returned by do_stop).
This causes the uninstall procedure to stop. The package
isn't removed but marked a broken.

Could the skeleton be improved in this regard; could this be a bug?

Anyway, there is a lonely colon at the end of the skeleton script. :)

regards,
