Yes, we could.  And eventually, we probably should.

But I was just told that I was wrong about when the freeze window
closes.  I thought it was already closed, but it really closes
tonight, in about two hours.  Because of this, I am closely reviewing
the changes and am going to uplodad them to unstable before the window
closes unless I find something that seem to risky.
