[Pkg-tcltk-devel] dotlrn and openacs packaging

Hello Sergei and Francesco,

As the tDOM packaging is really advanced now, I'd like to start the
process of packaging OpenACS and dotLRN.

I've sent the ITP wnpp bug report for both packages, and I think (please
correct me if I'm wrong) the next step is to upload them to the
subversion server, make the final changes and then ask you for review
and sponsor upload. Should I svn-inject the openacs and dotlrn packages
now into the repository?

If you want, you can see the packages on their current status
(lintian-clean, but not very tested because they depend on the currently
unpackaged tdom) on my local apt repository:

* deb http://debian.adenu.ia.uned.es/apt sid main

I mainly tried to follow the debian webapps policy when selecting the
paths of the package, and used wwwconfig-common for database creation. I
used the moodle package as an example of web application with database
access.

About the aolserver, I used a modified version of
the /etc/init.d/aolserver4 script of the aolserver4 package and renamed
it "/etc/init.d/dotlrn" and "/etc/init.d/openacs". On default, they
start on localhost:8000, to avoid problems with the aolserver4 package
installation, which starts on localhost:80 by default.

I hope i did not make too many mistakes :)

Thanks in advance, you are helping us a lot!

Cheers, Héctor
