As far as I can see, xotcl is scheduled for removal from jessie
because of #724816. And its
removal will in turn drop openacs and dotlrn from jessie also. If you
don't have time to
update xotcl, I could make an NMU which fixes #724816. Though it could be a bit
more complicated than I thought because both openacs and dotlrn
currently depend on
tcl (whic means tcl8.6) and aolserver does depend from libtcl8.6 too.
So, we need to either
make sure xotcl works with Tcl 8.6 or to check somehow that mixed
8.5/8.6 setup works
(where xotcl builds and depends on 8.5 and the rest uses 8.6). I'd
prefer the former. There
weren't too many incompatible changes in Tcl 8.6, so I think that
xotcl can be ported
to it without too much effort.
