[Pkg-tcltk-devel] package require sqlite3 fails

hi,

new to Debian, exploring the Linux VM provided on my Chromebook.

installed the 'tcl' and 'tk' packages, as well as the corresponding 'lib's,
also installed 'sqlite3' (all via 'apt-get install ...').  now, eg,
  % package require struct::tree
works as expected, but
  % package require sqlite3
fails.  I looked in the '/usr/lib*' directories, but the Debian system is v
different from my usual Slackware box, and I have no idea how to go from
here.  can you help, please?  tia.
