[Pkg-telepathy-maintainers] Bug#551954: after upgrade empathy fails to connect to jabberd over ssl

after an upgrade of empathy from 2.28.0.1-2 to 2.28.1-1 empathy fails to
connect to a jabberd over ssl, reporting a "Network error."  no account 
setting were changed and pidgin can still connect.

i attempted to delete and re-add the acct in case that might fix it,
but when i tried to re-add i got a Segmentation fault (bug 551265?).
the Advanced settings were to connect to port 5223, with "Encryption
required" and "Use old SSL" set.

is necessary.
