Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

(Running empathy etc off sid to get spam blocking. Which doesn't work,
of course.)

Connecting to wlan, (re)connecting to an account, starting empathy or in
any other way opening a connection to a service such as Google Talk.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Connection shows a popup window:

   * What was the outcome of this action?

No notices of any kind, connection works. Until next connect, every
time, when the same dialog pops up again, for each account (XMPP, at
least).

No output from empathy, no apparent logs, no other trace.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

No more popups from the same service.
