[Pkg-telepathy-maintainers] Bug#692278: empathy: Can't connect to Jabber servers

Hi,

Since about two weeks I can no longer connect to any Jabber (XMPP)
servers. Empathy fails with the message: Connection Error: The
connection can not be established. I'm using swissjabber.ch and
gmail.com. My ICQ and Bonjour accounts work fine. I tried to delete and
recreate the Jabber accounts but it did not help.

The same Jabber accounts work fine on my Ubuntu 12.04 laptop.

Empathy log entry:
Connection error on 0x12d7fc0 (reason: 0 description: Server closed the
connection)

Full log is attached. dmesg or ~/.xsession-errors do not contain any
empathy related messages.
