[Pkg-tigervnc-devel] next step is to get (duplicate?) xorg possibly arch-specific build options [Was: Bug#730552 closed by Julien Cristau <jcristau at debian.org>]

FWIW -- I have pushed to alioth some changes I have done to
enh/xorg-server-source branch toward using 'stock' xorg-server-source
package and simplifying somewhat the entire structure.

So the main obstacle atm would be how to obtain also 'stock' debian build
options for xorg server. Before Joachim or Mike did it cleverly by reusing
them from debian/rules of the xorg source package itself kept as a
submodule. Now that would not be the option, and the easiest way I see would
be to duplicate the logic from xorg's debian/rules.

A better solution would be to seek patching xorg's packaging tiny bit
more so it could also provide an architecture specific file with those. E.g.
as a confflags field within xorg-server.pc within xserver-xorg-dev package.

Julien -- what would you say about the .pc file approach?

May be some other alternatives?

cheers
