[Pkg-tigervnc-devel] TigerVNC plans and freeze on the way

Hi TigerVNC team

I just want to remind you about the Debian freeze plans. Right now we
have a mandatory 10 days delay for packages to migrate to testing.
The 5th of February testing will be frozen, meaning that any upload we
do have to be unblocked manually by the release team.

Right now we have 7 days left for the last upload until it will
migrate. The same applies to the vnc4 and tightvnc package uploads.

This means that we have about one more upload (deadline ~20 of
January) possibility for improvements, functional development or
general cleanup (things that is not easily accepted by release team).

So if you have anything you would like to include, please push that to
the GIT repo as soon as possible. But make sure it is in good shape
and ready for immediate upload.

Please do not upload anything to Debian unstable unless you have
consulted with me first (or if it fixes a RC bug).

After the deadline for the freeze, please avoid changes until the
freeze is over (or put it in a separate branch). The reason is simply
because we want to be able to upload changes to unstable and ask for a
unblock request. In order to be able to do that we can not have more
changes that is not easily accepted by the release team.

After the freeze is over (after release) we will go back to regular
work and create a branch for the upcoming stable release.

Best regards

// Ola
