I have just backported a relevant patch from master. This should
fix the problem. Please test the preview debs under the following URL:
  https://xamane.jfalk.de/dists/homebrew-stretch/selfmade/binary-amd64
The fix should be in tigervnc-standalone-server_1.7.0+dfsg-7_amd64.deb.
