unfortunately I cannot reproduce the bug. Yes, cutting the connection between the xtigervncviewer and the remote TigerVNC server
will freeze the connection. This is independent of the viewer being in full screen mode or not. However, when I kill the
xtigervncviewer on the client by switching to the linux console, i.e., Strl-ALT-F1, then killall xtigervncviewer, the X11 window
of xtigervncviewer will close and I can see my desktop again. You might have other problems like a frozen NFS connection for your
home...

If the problem persists, please open an official Bug report on the debian BTS (https://www.debian.org/Bugs/).
